Matthew Flaten is Â鶹ӳÏñ´«Ã½hb’s Public Relations Coordinator. Originally from Eau Claire, Wisc., Matthew has a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and a Master of Healthcare Administration from the University of Washington. Matthew also serves as the Vice-Chair of the Â鶹ӳÏñ´«Ã½hb University Staff Advisory Council (MUSAC).
Before coming to Â鶹ӳÏñ´«Ã½hb in Jan. 2023, Matthew was a reporter for the Decatur Herald & Review, covering high school and college sports, including the Big Blue. His wife, Dr. Laura Dean, is an Associate Professor of Political Science and the Director of the Human Trafficking Research Lab at Â鶹ӳÏñ´«Ã½hb. He and Laura have traveled the globe, including living abroad in Ukraine and Latvia. In his free time, Matt enjoys watching movies, collecting sports trading cards, and surviving as a Green Bay Packers Shareholder living in the original home of the Chicago Bears.
